Psychotherapy services covered by Alberta Health Care Insurance Plan for:

  • Challenges related to being Highly Sensitive or Gifted: as described on home page

  • Loss or Grief: including Companion Animal Loss  

  • Acute/Chronic Stress: e.g. related to work; finances; relationships; loss or change; life circumstances; stage of life issues; isolation or loneliness; lack of meaning & purpose, compassion fatigue, "burnout",...

  • Stress-Related Health Issues: e.g. feeling overwhelmed, worry, rumination, insomnia, fatigue, poor memory or concentration, impatience, irritability, muscle tension, headaches, neck or back pain, digestive problems,…

  • Difficulty Adjusting to Change or a Life Transition; Feeling "Stuck"

  • Depression/Anxiety (including prevention of recurrence)

  • Existential Anxiety, Depression or Grief

  • Medical Condition (e.g. chronic illness, pain, cancer,…)

  • Cancer Survivors

This Program Is NOT appropriate for those experiencing:

  • Active substance abuse/dependency (current or within last 12 months)

  • Severe anxiety, depression or other mental illness

  • Mental health issues that significantly impair daily functioning

  • Suicidal ideation or self-harm (past 6 months)

  • Psychotic disorders

  • Borderline personality disorder

  • Moderate anxiety or depression must be under care of GP or mental health professional

Please Note:  

  • At this time, sessions are available online only (except for trauma therapy for Ukrainian refugees)

  • Focus is educational and experiential (vs. “talk therapy”). You’ll get the most out of therapy by setting aside time between sessions for the practices specially selected for you.

  • This program can be helpful in conjunction with, but does not replace, talk therapy

  • Medication prescription/management services are not provided
